MANUFACTURERS WORK TOGETHER
FOR HURRICANE RELIEF
Several manufacturers teamed up to donate pet goods to shelters and rescue groups
in South Florida, which was heavily affected
by Hurricane Irma. Natural Cravings
( naturalcravingsusa.com), Barking Buddha
Pet Products and Scout & Zoe’s (scout
andzoes.com) collected pet food, treats, dog
shampoo, collars, leashes, bedding and toys
in order to help pets in need.
Local dog and cat rescue groups, as well
as the Chapman Partnership, which operates a
homeless shelter that accepts families and their
dogs, picked up the donations at the Natural
Cravings headquarters in Miami, Fla. The rescue
groups had taken in pets that were abandoned during hurricane evacuations. These
much-needed donations helped shelters support these rescued animals.
Other manufacturers that helped facilitate this donation include Auburn
Leathercrafters, Luxe Pets, Earth Heart, A Tail We Could Wag, Paws Stop Indianapolis,
Cat Dancer, Aroma Paws, The Good Dog Company and OllyDog.
In the aftermath of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, Caru Pet Food (carupetfood.
com) donated 348 cases of food to shelters in need, providing more than 4,000 meals
for needy dogs. The Florida-based company sent donations of its Classic Stews and new
Daily Dish Stews to heavily affected areas in Texas, in addition to nearby Florida shelters.
In total, Caru donated over $14,500 worth of food to rescues in these hurricane-ravaged
areas.
The following shelters received
food from Caru: San Antonio Humane Society, Sophie’s Circle in New
Smyrna Beach, Fla. and Humane
Society of Vero Beach & Indian River
County in Vero Beach, Fla. Each of these organizations has been directly involved in the
efforts to support animals in need after these natural disasters.
“The devastation brought on by these massive storms greatly affected our area,”
says Adrian Pettyan, CEO and co-founder of Caru. “We wanted to be able to help in any
way we could during this time of crisis, and we’re grateful to all of the shelters caring for
displaced and homeless animals in Texas and Florida.”
Pet Head (pethead.
com) launched a social media
campaign to promote its line
of grooming products for dogs
and cats throughout the U.S.,
U.K., Australia and Canada.
The new campaign features
three 20-second videos that use colorful, animated illustrations to showcase Pet
Head’s shampoos, sprays and conditioners. The videos will also be promoted on
Facebook and Instagram, where pet parents are encouraged to use #pethead-style for the chance to win free products.
“We are really excited to be launching this campaign for Pet Head,” says
Vicky Benneworth, marketing manager at The Company of Animals, which
supplies Pet Head. “The three videos, which are supporting the extensive social
media campaign, bring the fresh and fruity brand promise to life and communi-
cate the unique benefits of the products. We are looking forward to seeing how
All Pet Head formulas are human grade, pH adjusted and free of petroleum
derivatives and DEA, giving pet parents peace of mind that their pet won’t be
harmed if the formula is licked or accidentally swallowed.
